The American Dream
Just two weeks ago, we travelled out to Manchester, Vermont (we’re from Toronto), and it was the most beautiful scenic drive. The drive was rather long but that was made up for by all the scenic places we encountered.
The first picture was in this little town en-route called Brunswick in New York. We made a pit stop at this cute dairy farm that also doubled as a flower nursery (is that a thing?). I’m not exactly sure what the purpose of hanging flowers upside down is, but they looked gorgeous.
The second picture is actually in Manchester, Vermont. Manchester is honestly the cutest and quietest little (tourist) town. If I thought the drive down was scenic, that was nothing compared to the little town of Manchester (population only 4,700). I felt like I was in a southern town from way back in the day or that I was walking on the set of a movie. This picture is one of many houses that depicted the “American dream,” - white picket fence, porch with rocking chairs, American flag hanging at the door.
